28. Heidelberger Klavierwoche

The market-leading magazine Gramophone praised him as an artist with ”boldness and an unusual confidence playing the piano”. When the promising young musician Yi Lin Jiang released his first album he immediately drew all the attention of the international music scene towards himself.

Yi Lin Jiang was born in 1988 and raised in a musical family in Munich. At the age of six he took his first piano lessons at the municipal music school Kaufbeuren with Barbara Strauß. He won the first prize at the Karl-Lang and at the Carl-Schroeder competition. For his piano solo and champer music at the ”Jugend musiziert” competition he won the first prize with the highest possible score in both categories at federal level.

At the Heidelberg Piano Week he is going to play Skrjabin, Paderewski, Chopin, Schubert, Brahms and Bach-Busoni.
