Accessibility

We want to enable everyone to participate in cultural life on an equal footing.

Accessibility to the venues:

Barrier-free access to all areas of our building is guaranteed. The entrances to the building itself and to all event spaces are at ground level or easily accessible via an elevator. Accessible restrooms are located on the 1st floor.

We have ample seating available for people with limited mobility.

Disability ID & Companions

People with severe disabilities receive reduced admission upon presentation of the appropriate documentation at the entrance.

Necessary companions (indicated by the letter “B” on the disability ID card) receive free admission; however, registration via email at presse@dai-heidelberg.de is absolutely required, as seating cannot be guaranteed otherwise.

Assistance dogs are permitted at all events.

Location & Parking

The DAI Heidelberg is very centrally located, just a few minutes’ walk from Bismarckplatz, so the best way to reach us is by public transportation. Unfortunately, we do not have our own parking lot, but several parking garages are available in the immediate vicinity.
