Interns (f/m/d) in the language school department
The German-American Institute (DAI) Heidelberg is a non-profit cultural institution that provides information about social, political and cultural events on both sides of the Atlantic. In addition, the DAI offers a wide range of educational programs, including a language school and a public English-language library.
For our language school, we are regularly looking for interns (f/m/d) to support us for three months throughout the year.
The mission of the DAI Language School is to provide innovative and varied learning content and to help people of all ages and language levels to develop their language skills and surpass themselves in the process.
The offer includes weekly children’s courses, vacation courses, targeted A-level preparation and exciting creative courses for teens, conversation and grammar courses and business English for adults as well as academic writing for students and researchers.
Activities
- Creation of texts, invitation letters, presentations, etc.
- Planning, organization and implementation of individual language course activities
- Researching current projects, maintaining distribution lists and databases
- Co-supervision of the language school’s online/social media channels
- Assistance with events and the language school’s vacation program (camps, intensive courses, etc.)
Profile:
- Great interest in languages and culture
- Fluency and very good command of written and spoken German and English (additional languages are a plus)
- Confident handling of all common Office programs
- Independent, reliable way of working
- Communicative, open-minded, motivated, self-motivated, team player, creative

Unfortunately, we are unable to offer a salary.
