The German-American Institute (DAI) in Heidelberg is a nonprofit cultural institution that provides information on social, political, and cultural events on both sides of the Atlantic. This work includes individual lectures, lecture series, seminars, discussions in both German and English, concerts, films, and exhibitions. In addition, the DAI offers a wide range of educational programs, including a language school and a public English-language library.
We are regularly seeking interns (f/m/d) for our PR office throughout the year to support us for three months.
Responsibilities
- Cross-event collaboration within the PR department
- Drafting texts, invitation letters, presentations, etc.
- Planning, organizing, and implementing individual PR activities
- Research on current projects, maintaining mailing lists and databases, sending out promotional materials, and other promotional activities as part of day-to-day PR operations
- Assisting with the company’s online and social media channels
- Assisting with events in the evenings and on weekends (bar, door, etc.)
Profile
- Strong interest in culture (lectures, readings, concerts, etc.)
- A feel for language and very strong command of written and spoken German
- Very good command of English
- Proficiency in all standard Office programs
- Ability to work independently and reliably
- Communicative, open-minded, motivated, proactive, a team player, and creative
