Jan Prax Quartet

Jan Prax, who grew up in a German-Polish family of musicians, is one of the most influential saxophonists of his generation in Europe. Having started out as a piano prodigy, he found his true musical home in jazz and developed a voice that uniquely blends jazz tradition with contemporary sound aesthetics. Shaped by his long-standing collaboration with Riccardo del Fra in the group Moving People, Prax embodies a style of jazz in which powerful improvisation meets a finely nuanced, lyrical musical language.
