Nora Gomringer & DJ Scratch Dee

When Nora Gomringer’s mother died four years ago, she left her a mysterious hyphen on her gravestone. And there was another surprise: 40 LPs turned up in the bed frame, attesting to the collector’s good taste in music. In her memorial text, the poet writes “about my multifaceted mother, her wisdom and humor, her husband, the thing with the guinea pigs, and me.” At the reading, Nora Gomringer and DJ Scratch Dee quote, read, and play what life is all about when, in the end, “only” a small hyphen remains between seasons.

Nora Gomringer is a poet, filmmaker, and director of the International Artists’ House Villa Concordia in Bamberg. Opera libretti and theater works, as well as numerous collaborations with visual artists, make her one of the best-known poets of her generation. She has received numerous awards, most recently the Kassel Literature Prize for Grotesque Humor in 2025.

DJ Scratch Dee loves mixing records, is a music producer, and runs the Pyromusic label in Bamberg. As a touring DJ, he has already performed on countless stages across Europe.
