- The politicization of the economic
- Global power, competition and decarbonization
- Lecture
Michael Hüther, Director of the German Economic Institute (IW), is known for his accurate analysis of economic relationships. In his lecture, he discusses the politicization of economics, as economic issues and decisions are increasingly being integrated into political debates and discourses. But how does this affect challenging issues such as climate change, international relations or geopolitical strategies? Hüther not only looks at purely economic factors, but also considers social and political developments that influence economic events.
Michael Hüther is an economist and honorary professor at the EBS Business School in Oestrich-Winkel and on the Executive Board of the Research Institute for Rationalization at RWTH Aachen University. He is also a member of the Research Council of Justus Liebig University Giessen, a member of the Board of Trustees of the German Development Institute (DIE) and was an adjunct professor at Stanford University for several years.
