Viktor Soos, born in 1996, began his training as a pianist at the age of six. He was later a junior student at the Frankfurt University of Music and Performing Arts. From 2015 to 2021 he studied at the Lübeck University of Music and since 2021 at the Hanover University of Music, Drama and Media.

The pianist is considered one of the outstanding musicians of his generation. He performs regularly in Leipzig, Hamburg, Essen and Bonn, as well as at the Kissinger Klaviersommer, the Schleswig-Holstein Musikfestival, the Ruhr Piano Festival and the Trans-Siberian Art Festival. Concert tours have taken him to Japan, the USA, Russia and Chile.

He has won prizes at many national and international competitions, including the International Robert Schumann Competition 2021 in Zwickau and the Steinway Förderpreis Klassik 2018. In 2017, he was named a finalist in the German Music Competition and was included in the German National Selection Concerts for Young Artists (BAKjK). Soos is a scholarship holder of the Live Music Now Foundation, the German Foundation for Musical Life and the German National Academic Foundation.

At the DAI, Viktor Soos performs works by Johannes Brahms, Jörg Widmann, Robert Schumann, Clara Schumann and Franz Schubert.
