Founded in 2002, the Heidelberg SRH Bigband was voted best big band at the Bigband Festival in Szombathely/Hungary and was a prizewinner at the National Competition for Big Bands in Trossingen 2019. Every year it develops a program of swing, funk, Latin and fusion. At the DAI, she will meet two special guests in an exciting concert: Andy Haderer, lead trumpeter of the WDR Bigband, previously played in the ORF Bigband and Peter Herbolzheimer’s band, among others. Ludwig Nuss, 1st trombonist of the WDR Bigband, comes from the Mosbach area. As a sideman he can be heard on recordings by the Brecker Brothers, Bill Holman, Paul Kuhn, Peter Herbolzheimer and Bill Ramsey.
