Out of the eternal perpetual crisis

  • Solving today's problems with tomorrow's thinking
  • Maren Urner and Gert Scobel
  • Geist Heidelberg, In dialogue

We need to change our thinking and our thought patterns in order to master the crises of our time, demands Maren Urner, Professor of Media Psychology at the Hochschule für Medien, Kommunikation und Wirtschaft (HMKW) in Cologne.

After her bestseller Schluss mit dem täglichen Weltuntergang (Ending the Daily Doomsday ), the cognitive and neuroscientist exposes the prevailing thought patterns with provocative theses in her new book. She counters them with a model of new “dynamic” thinking, which she has developed on the basis of the latest neuroscientific and psychological findings.

In a dialogue with philosopher, moderator and author Gert Scobel, Prof. Dr. Maren Urner will explore the question of how we can make the right decisions, master social and personal crises, and feel good about ourselves in the process.

The event will take place at the DAI Heidelberg and in parallel online in the free dai HOME Livestream on our YouTube channel. Click here to go directly to the livestream.
