“Timely, powerful, and thought-provoking documentary”
(Forbes)
After the kidnapping of 251 people from Israel on October 7 by Hamas and the war in Gaza, another conflict broke out thousands of kilometers away – on New York’s facades. The film tells of the consequences of the iconic “KIDNAPPED” poster campaign, which quickly became the trigger for fierce clashes between pro-Israeli and pro-Palestinian New Yorkers. TORN sheds light on the motives behind the putting up and tearing down of the posters – a proxy conflict in stickers and torn paper.
