Jazzclub Heidelberg at the DAI

  • Griener Roder Thewes
  • Concert

Griener Roder Thewes is small, fast and acoustic, met 15 years ago at a concert with Uli Gumpert in Berlin and completed concerts in Ukraine, Switzerland and New York, among others. Griener and Roder have been living and working in Berlin for years, where they form one of the hottest rhythm groups in the European free jazz and improvisation scene. With Thewes, they move in an independent musical cosmos. The three are now releasing Roadside Picnic, an album with a suite based on motifs from the novel “Picnic by the Roadside” by the brothers Boris and Arkadi Strugatzky.
