How did our universe come into being? What is life? What secrets does our forest keep? And how do wolves actually raise their pups?
These are just some of the questions that our guests will be tackling on this year’s Science Day: Lucy Hawkins, the daughter of the famous astrophysicist, and children’s book authors Jan Paul Schutte and Michal Figura explore the topics of space, nature and the animal kingdom in such a fascinating way that the children can easily enlighten their parents afterwards.

10:30 a.m. – Michael Figura: Wolves
Michal Figura, one of Europe’s most experienced wolf researchers, answers every conceivable question about wolves in his non-fiction book in comic form – from rearing pups to transmitting collars and photo traps. At the same time, he tells the story of the people who protect these animals and their habitat.
Michal Figura is a naturalist and member of the board of the Polish Association for Nature Wilk.
11:30 a.m. – Jan Paul Schutten: Forest
With his children’s non-fiction book full of lifelike illustrations, author Jan Paul Schutten conveys amazing facts about the forest and always draws his audience’s attention to what they don’t notice at first glance.
The successful author Jan Paul Schutten, born in the Netherlands in 1970, has received numerous awards for his gripping and humorous books. Some of his books have been translated into more than ten languages.

15:00 – Lucy Hawking: The Universe
How did the universe come into being? Are there living beings in distant galaxies? Will it soon be possible to travel through time? Lucy Hawking addresses all these questions and more.
Lucy Hawking, born in 1970, is the daughter of astrophysicist Stephen Hawking(A Brief History of Time, 1988, journalist and children’s book author.
