All children know them: The Wimmel books about spring, summer, fall, and winter, which are set in the fictional little town of Wimmlingen and tell so many stories without words that children can lose themselves in them for hours. What makes Berner’s Wimmel books so special is that different characters appear and develop in each volume. Thus, this series invites children to discover, describe, and tell stories over and over again.
Rotraut Susanne Bern er was born in Stuttgart in 1948 and studied graphic design in Munich.
