Michael Kleeberg
- Achilles in Taormina

Ernest Hemingway: daredevil, charmer, bon vivant. Definitely a legend. And at the same time a driven man who always had to prove himself, who demanded everything from himself and others.
With a clever twist, Michael Kleeberg follows in the footsteps of his larger-than-life colleague – and creates his own identity: as a Hemingway researcher with heart and soul. What makes a boy a man? What makes a man a writer? And what makes a writer an icon? These are the questions that drive the hero of the novel in his search for Hemingway’s “last secret”. An exciting puzzle of reality and fiction.
Michael Kleeberg studied political science, history and visual communication while working as a journalist, nurse and dock worker. He lived in Paris for twelve years and made numerous trips to the Middle East as part of the West-Eastern Divan writers’ exchange program. In 2016, he received the Konrad Adenauer Foundation Literature Prize for his complete works.
