Margit Auer
- The School of Magical Animals
- International Children's Book Festival, Literature, Program for children
“Writing makes you happy,” says author Margit Auer – and that’s great luck for her readers! The popular School of Magical Animals series has now grown to 14 volumes. She will be presenting the latest volume, Ach du Schreck, as part of the Children’s Book Festival at the DAI Heidelberg. There will also be a medley of the previous stories, and most importantly: a conversation with the audience, who are sure to have lots of questions!
As a child,Margit Auer wanted to be a postwoman and deliver letters on a yellow bicycle – but then she decided to become a journalist and wrote many articles for newspapers. When her three sons were born, she read lots of children’s books and decided to write some herself. Good for us! Margit Auer has been awarded many prizes, including the Leipziger Lesekompass, the Leseknirps and the Heidelberger Leander.
