Variety and color run though the compositions on On the Move, the latest CD from Dirik Schilgen JazzGrooves. The bandleader and drummer brilliantly combines aspects of Jazz, Soul, Brazilian and Latin American music. Between the catchy rhymes, often performed as duets, there’s also room for exciting improvisations. The list of members in Schilgen’s band reads like a who’s who in the Metropolitan region’s Jazz scene.
