The pianist Pin-Shiuan Lin was born in Taiwan in 2000. She began her piano training at the age of five with Xiu-Shan Liao and later with Chin-Chuan Zhang. She played her first concert in Taiwan at the age of 15. The following year, she passed the entrance exam to the Hanover University of Music, Drama and Media and has been studying in Alexander Schimpf’s class ever since.

Pin-Shiuan Lin took part in numerous national piano competitions in Taiwan at an early age and was awarded numerous prizes there. Already in her first year of study in Germany, she was awarded 2nd prize in the international Young Piano Stars competition in Königs Wusterhausen in 2017. As part of her participation in international masterclasses, she has worked with pianists such as Nelson Delle-Vigne Fabbri, Andrea Lucchesini and Michel Béroff.

Pin-Shiuan Lin will be playing works by Enrique Granados at the DAI.
