28. Heidelberger Klavierwoche Sun, 3rd January 2016, 8:00 pm Raúl da Costa In cooperation with Jahrhundertwende-Gesellschaft Concert Raúl da Costa was born in Portugal in 1993. At the age of seven he took his first piano lessons. He gave concerts in famous concert halls of Portugal like the Casa da Música, Centro Cultural de Belém and the Teatro S. Luís in Lisbon. Da Costa was a guest at the Spring Festival in Vila Praia de Ancora, the St. Pere de Rodes International Music Festival in Spain, at the Marvão International Music Festival and at the Chamber Music Day in Ahrenshoop. He holds scholarships from the Yamaha Europe Foundation, the Yehudi Menuhin Live Music Now Foundation and the Gulbenkian Foundation. The NDR (North German Radio), SWR (Southwest German Radio) and the Portuguese radio and television broadcasted some live recordings of his concerts. During the 28th Heidelberg Piano Week he is going to play Bach-Busconi, Franck, Scriabin, Liszt and Schubert-Liszt.
