7th International Guitar Festival Heidelberg

  • Carlo Marchione
  • Concert, Festival

Carlo Marchione is one of the most versatile virtuosos of his generation. Born in Rome in 1964, the guitarist not only impresses with his brilliant instrumental technique, but also with his musically deeply penetrating interpretations.
Composers such as Abel Carlevaro or Carlo Domeniconi were inspired by him to write works, and his transcriptions – especially baroque works – brought him worldwide recognition and are played by many colleagues.

Marchione teaches as a professor at numerous European academies, regularly gives master classes at various European conservatories and founded the Marchione Online Academy together with his partner.

In Heidelberg he will perform works by Westhoff, Casarini and Schumann, among others.
