Kindergarten Care Hours

The core hours of care are Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

We also offer extended care spaces from the hours 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. As extended care spaces are limited, you must contact the respective Kindergarten Leader for information about availability.

Kindergarten Tuition: Nursery and Preschool

Parents participate in the financing of the kindergarten through monthly tuition. The start of payment is always the 1st day of the month of admission.

Due to our extraordinary child to caregiver ratio, unique and comprehensive concepts, and special services provided in our Kindergartens, the actual care costs incurred are above average when compared to public institutions. However, it is incredibly important to us to still provide fair access to our Kindergartens for families of all income levels. Therefore, we offer a limited number of reduced tuition spots for kindergarten only. You will be notified through the application process if reduced tuition spots are available.

Tuition for the Nursery is not staggered. In the case of Nursery placements there is the possibility for eligible families to receive financial support through a program provided by the city of Heidelberg under the name Betreuungsgutschein.

We also offer places for HD Pass families, but there is also limited availability. You will receive more information about this when you apply. Please indicate in the application form if you are in possession of a HD Pass.

Tuition must also be paid during closing times. Tuition cannot be refunded for days of absence for any reason.
