Welcome to the DAI International Kindergartens of Heidelberg! Here you will find information about our concept, care, open houses, holidays, and application process.

DAI International Kindergartens currently offer approximately 200 places for children between the ages of one and six years, at three different locations within the city of Heidelberg. With two locations in Heidelberg Neuenheim and one in the Altstadt, children from more than 20 different countries are cared for from Monday to Friday between 07:30 and 17:00.

We provide an English-language-immersion environment with intimate groups of up to 12 children, with two caregivers per group. Our concept allows children to learn and grow through play and interaction with their peers and teachers, with a balanced mix of curiosity driven free-play, structured routines, pre-school lessons and the delightfully international environment cultivated through the diversity of our kindergarten family.

At this time, we have available spots in all 3 kindergartens. At our Gutenberg Arctic House Kindergarten in Neuenheim, we can accept children from the age of 1 year old into the nursery. At our Kuno-Fischer Safari House Kindergarten in Neuenheim and our Friedrich-Ebert Rainforest House Kindergarten in the Altstadt, children can be enrolled from the age of 2 years old. We can also welcome a limited number of children from outside of the city of Heidelberg. All children are welcome to stay with us from nursery age through to the end of their time in kindergarten.
