- Information
Foreign applicants to American universities and colleges often underestimate the importance of the application essay (also called personal statement or statement of motivation). Your essay may just be the key element of your application that gets you in to or keeps you out of a university. But what is it exactly that admissions officers want to read in these essays? Where does one start? It can be difficult to decide what to write about, especially when the topic is left open.
This workshop (part I) is to help you to write an application essay. We’ll give you an idea of what makes a good essay and how to find a topic. In part II of the workshop, you will re-craft your draft essay work towards a finished product. Should you require further guidance after the workshop to perfect your essay this service will be provided.
Led by American, native-speaking EducationUSA advisers Shannon Pippin and Debra Collins.
Cost: 30,00 €
Pre-registration is required via E-mail until March 19th. Workshop fees can be payed in cash in the library.
