- Social Activity, Workshop
Coming to decisions authoritatively or by majority vote may be quick, but it wastes energy, potential and motivation. It would be better to learn together and create something meaningful for everyone from different perspectives.
How can groups, teams and organizations make decisions that involve everyone and enable genuine co-determination? The defining elements of sociocracy are the exchange of opinions and joint decision-making by the people who are affected by an issue. In this workshop, we will talk about aspects of a more participatory democracy and a culture of discussion that promotes peaceful coexistence. Sociocracy strives for co-responsibility through genuine co-determination. Participants can experience in practice how information, opinion-forming and decision-making can work in a consent process.
Anja Ritter is a management consultant in the field of participation and a sociocracy expert for companies and organizations.
