You can write alone. But when can one talk about writing? With whom can one reflect intensively on linguistic and literary questions? And how do you get the finishing touches?

The writer Ulf Stolterfoht – he held the Heidelberg Poetry Lectureship in 2019 – is coming to Heidelberg again at the invitation of the literary magazine klischée | Gegenwartsliteratur: for a deeper exchange; he will be leading a poetry writing workshop.

Participants can spend a weekend writing and revising lyrical texts in the DAI library and discuss everything that literarily burns on their lips with the award-winning poet. Existing texts which will then be worked on further are welcome.

The project will conclude with a public reading together with Ulf Stolterfoht, during which the results will be presented to the public. The magazine klischée – founded in 2018 by female students from Heidelberg – will later publish the texts in a special issue.

Ulf Stolterfoht is best known for his long-term lyrical project fachsprachen. He writes language-critical poetry and essays and has received the Peter Huchel Prize and the Anna Seghers Prize, among others. He has been a visiting professor at the German Literature Institute in Leipzig on several occasions.
