“… dabei liebe ich doch gar nicht Dich…“ (metaphor in Franz Kafka‘s letters to Milena Jesenská)

At this finissage event, Koubová will present Kafka’s so-called “Milena letters” and will reflect on the difficulties associated with the translation of metaphors. Otto Engelhardt, Franco-German Pianist, has composed a musical “translation” of the Milena letters for Koubová, Peter Staengle, a contributor to the “Historisch-Kritischen Franz-Kafka-Ausgabe”, edits three of the Milena letters into the form of a fax.
