Fiction Writing 1 – Character

  • Alex David
  • Writer's Room

Most new writers make the mistake of diving straight into the “actual” writing without doing any (or enough) pre-work on their character and story.  Therefore, no matter how brilliant their writing is, it is most likely destined to fail.  After all, a boring idea expertly told is still boring.  So how do you approach this pre-work?  How do you create unique, complex characters?  Or for those who are good at crafting characters, how can you use those characters to develop exciting, dramatic stories?

Suitable for writers of film, television, theater, novels, or anything else!  All lectures will be in English, but writing can be done in any language.  There will be six classes, Monday 6-8pm, starting September 12th (but with no class October 3rd).

Price: 150 Euros.
