Climate change is a hoax created by the Chinese. Said Donald Trump. At least that’s what his feelings told him.

Currently, there are politicians who don’t believe in evidence. Therefore it’s even more important to talk about the necessary inclusion of scientific knowledge in political decision-making. According to Anne Glover this is what “enables us to meet global challenges with logical reasoning. The scientific state of knowledge changes with time – but not with the transition of a government.”

The Scottish biologist, Dame Lesley Anne Glover, was scientific chief advisor to the president of the European Commission from 2012 to 2014. In addition, she has provided Jose Manuel Barroso with independent expertise on questions about science, technology, and innovation.
