Laurent Wagschal, a “unique pianist with astonishing charisma” (Le Monde), is a passionate interpreter of French music and a committed advocate of lesser-known composers.
His highly acclaimed discography, celebrated by the press – including Télérama, Diapason, Classica and The Guardian – includes some forty recordings dedicated to the works of Saint-Saëns, Fauré, Franck, Chausson, Debussy as well as lesser-known masters such as Magnard, Dukas and Pierné. Nominations for the Victoires de la Musique Classique 2011 and the International Classical Music Awards 2017 underline his excellence in chamber music, which he presents worldwide with a wide range of partners.
At the DAI, Laurent Wagschal plays works by Gabriel Fauré, Luis Vierne and Martin Münch.
