Albert Mangelsdorff is primarily known as an instrumentalist and improviser – a band project posthumously dedicated explicitly to his compositions has not yet existed. ToneGallery wants to close this gap, has creatively edited and rearranged his compositions without direct reference to his instrument, so no trombone will be heard. In this way, a new perspective on the music of the exceptional trombonist is created, which honors his legacy and at the same time bears the signature of ToneGallery.
