“A timely, powerful, and thought-provoking documentary”
(Forbes)
Following the October 7 abduction of 251 people from Israel by Hamas and the outbreak of war in Gaza, another conflict erupted thousands of kilometers away—on the walls of New York City. The film explores the fallout from the iconic “KIDNAPPED” poster campaign, which quickly became the catalyst for fierce clashes between pro-Israeli and pro-Palestinian New Yorkers.
TORN sheds light on the motives behind the posting and tearing down of the posters—a proxy conflict played out in stickers and torn paper.
