Michael Kleeberg studied political science, history, and visual communication, working as a journalist, nurse, and dockworker during his studies. He lived in Paris for twelve years, and as part of the “West-Eastern Divan” writers’ exchange program, he made numerous trips to the Middle East. In 2016, he received the Konrad Adenauer Foundation’s Literature Prize for his body of work.
