American democracy was once considered indestructible. It survived slavery, the Civil War and further racial unrest, the Vietnam War, the Cuban Missile Crisis and Watergate. Meanwhile, however, the United States is in the midst of a second civil war, a new one, fought with media weapons. The book by top journalists Klaus Brinkbäumer and Stephan Lamby reports directly from the American front.
