Fiction Writing III: Scenes

  • Alex David
  • For all kinds of prose
  • Writer's Room

Great dialogue must sound like real-life, but the truth is real-life conversations are usually boring. Another major key to scenes isn’t just what dialogue you put in them, but perhaps more importantly what you leave out. How can you as the writer navigate this balance? Not only will we work on creating brilliant dialogue, we’ll learn how to construct scenes and how to make your scenes do as much as they can.

This workshop is mostly aimed towards writers of film and television. It is not a pre-requisite to have taken Fiction Writing I or Writing II first.

The course is in English, and participants will get more in-depth feedback if they write in English.
