PR employee (f/m/d) for Social Media and Online
The German-American Institute (DAI) Heidelberg is a non-profit cultural institution that provides information on social, political and cultural events on both sides of the Atlantic. This work includes individual lectures, lecture series, seminars, discussions in German and English, concerts, films and exhibitions. In addition, the DAI offers a wide range of educational opportunities, including a language school, a public English-language library, two international kindergartens and a language promotion project for pupils.
your activities
- Independent creation, planning and implementation of creative content for all DAI social media platforms as well as independent strategic and operational support and further development of the same, taking into account new trends and target groups.
- Creation of advertisements for various channels
- Development of social media campaigns
- Coordination of video recordings and independent editing of video recordings
- Creation of editorial content in various formats for online and print, e.g. for press, programme, annual report, image brochure, etc.
- Independent creation and sending of newsletters and mailings
- Editorial and content support and further development of the website as well as expansion of the company’s online channels
- Collaboration in cross-divisional business event program
- General press-relevant and administrative tasks
Your profile
- Completed studies with focus on marketing, communication or media management or comparable education/further training
- At least 2 years professional experience in development, conception and implementation of social media strategies and measures
- Passion for social media, storytelling and digital communication
- Very good knowledge of popular social media KPIs and their strategic importance as well as sound technical and professional knowledge of social media tools (Facebook Creator Studio, Facebook Business Manager, Tweet Deck etc.), platforms and networks
- Strong authentic cultural affinity and high loyalty
- High degree of independence, flexibility, creativity, organizational talent and team spirit
- Very good communication skills
- Safe handling of MS-Office and CMS systems
- Good knowledge of video editing software (Final Cut Pro, Audacity etc.)
- Knowledge of digital image processing an advantage
- Fluent German and English, very good channel- and target group-specific expressiveness and a high level of written and spoken language skills
