The DAI stays online at your side
Dear guests and friends of the DAI
due to official orders issued by the city of Heidelberg as part of the measures to contain infection with the Corona virus , all events at the DAI Heidelberg are cancelled until further notice.
This crisis hits us as an educational and cultural centre to the core. The necessary income through our programs and our language school has been lost andour reserves will unfortunately not carry us very far.
And so we turn to you with a request: Support us. Do not return your tickets for now. Buy vouchers that you can redeem at a later date. Give the gift of culture. Donate. Stay loyal to us as a member or become a new member of our Circle of Friends.
We will stay by your side! We are currently working on a comprehensive online program, which we will present to you shortly. Stay tuned to ours as well.
In the meantime, you can find many exciting lectures, readings, interviews & impulses on our YouTube Channel.
- Tickets:
All tickets already purchased remain valid. We ask that you do not return your ticket for the time being, we will endeavour to find replacement dates.
If you nevertheless wish to return your ticket now or later, you can do so at the respective advance booking office where the tickets were purchased, free of charge and without observing any special deadlines. Tickets purchased online will be automatically cancelled and refunded. We ask for your understanding that in this special situation there may be delays in processing. - The DAI International Kindergartens will also remain closed for the time being. We will continue to inform all parents directly about new developments.
- There will be no regular courses at the DAI Language School for the time being. As an alternative, we have created digital teaching formats, which we are constantly expanding.
Course fees already paid will be credited to you on a pro rata basis and can be redeemed at a later date. - The public English-language library of the DAI is open again for you at the usual timesfrom Wednesday, 22 April:
Tuesday-Friday: 13:00-18:00, Saturday: 10:00-14:00.
You can borrow and return media as well as spend time reading in the library, while observing the usual hygiene measures. You are of course welcome to continue using our online media. Memberships for the use of the e-library can be arranged by e-mail to library@dai-heidelberg.de set up.
Events within the framework of our library program will not take place until further notice. Canceled courses will be rescheduled as soon as possible. Workshop fees already paid will be credited to you and can be redeemed at a later date. - The Makerspace will also remain closed for the time being.
- In the context of the project “HD Ink – Ideas on Paper!” all tandems and planned workshops will be cancelled for the time being.
