Paul Maar and the Sams Trio

  • The Sams celebrates birthday
  • Concert, Literature, Program for children

Generations of children – now parents themselves – have grown up with the dotted Sams. Now Sams is celebrating its birthday! The first Sams book was published in 1973, and there are now eleven volumes that have been translated into many languages.
Sams creator Paul Maar is a guest with two well-known musicians, guitarist and percussionist Wolfgang Stute and all-round musician Konrad Haas, who plays the flute, saxophone and keyboard and has set numerous Sams poems to music.

Paul Maar is considered one of the most successful German authors of books for children and young people. With more than six million books sold, the Sams volumes are Maar’s most successful children’s book series. Both Maar and Sams live in Bamberg.
