Fiction Writing I: Character
- For all kinds of prose
- Alex David
- Literature, Workshop
Most new writers make the mistake of diving straight into the “actual” writing without doing any (or enough) pre-work on their character and story. Therefore, no matter how brilliant their writing is, it is most likely destined to fail. After all, a boring idea expertly told is still boring. So how do you approach this pre-work? How do you create fascinating characters and exciting stories? And lastly, what comes first – working on character or story?
Until April 4, Mondays, 6 to 8 pm.
