  • The Hunger
  • Geist Heidelberg, Lecture

Every twelve seconds a child under the age of five dies as a result of starvation. Hunger, it is said, is the world’s greatest, solvable problem. Yet, somewhat shamefully, it seems that we are yet to solve it.

For five years Camaros travelled the world. His aim, was to map global suffering. At the end of his journey he created a unique book: a report, a historiography and a furious manifest in one. Hunger, he says, is no natural catastrophe. Hunger is the most extreme expression of the enormous social inequality which characterises our planet in which the richest one percent of the population owns more than the rest of the population put together.
