Awakening the Body Sat, 7th December 2019, 2:30 pm A half-day workshop exploring mindfulness through yoga practice Josh Gale Workshop, Yoga In the mindfulness tradition, awareness of the body and breath is where it all begins. The practice of modern postural yoga provides an excellent way to explore these fundamentals. It allows us to work on the mind through the body, making it easier to rest in present moment awareness and to sit in meditation. During this half day workshop, we will explore different aspects of mindfulness and how they relate to yoga practice. We’ll also try three short mindfulness meditations, and experience walking meditation and the joy of mindful tea drinking. You’ll leave feeling deeply relaxed and open to your life. About the teacher: Josh Gale is from Auckland, New Zealand and has been practicing yoga since 2002. In 2006, Josh completed his first yoga teacher training course, and 10 years later he completed another one, this time focused on a Buddhist mindfulness approach to yoga.
