Called to be a prophet…? Mehdi is a computer scientist, his wife and daughter are on holiday without him. And if Mehdi had not been visited by the archangel Gabriel, who announced to him that he was an ambassador of God, his life might have continued normally. But when he claims to be a prophet, his wife leaves him immediately. But there are no further revelations. So he starts preaching.

What is true? What is the delusion of an individual who believes himself to be the Saviour and calls for conversion? A redemption, this wild novel makes clear, is hardly to be expected from the religions. Perhaps people listen to the fool who sees what they do not want to see. And how crazy are those who accept the world as it is?
