Anatol Ugorski was the examiner when Minako Schneegass took her concert exam at the University of Music in Detmold. She took master class courses for the fortepiano and improvisation with Vera Gornostaeva, Christian Zacharias and Robert D. Levin. Furthermore, Frédéric Haas taught her playing the harpsichord. She received several prizes in national competitions in Japan as well as the first prize of the Scarlatti-competition of the International Summer Academy Mozarteum in Salzburg in 2007.

Minako Schneegass focuses musicological especially on the way the facets of Iberian influences the connections of the soundscape between Domenico Scarlatti and the Spanish composer Cristóbal Halffter (*1930).

During the Piano Week she is going to play some pieces from Albeniz, Scarlatti, Schneegass, Takata, Ernst and Chopin.
