Hike & Think: Philosophy Walks

  • Hike with lecture elements and conversation on the topic of consciousness & mindfulness.
  • Philosophy in the Community
  • Workshop

The DAI Library’s Philosophy Walks combine significant philosophical topics and an extended walk in nature. Theory is intended to provide structure, but at the same time the question of practical significance for our own lives is always addressed. The topics of consciousness, mindfulness and meditation will be the prelude.

Dr. Max von Sponeck holds a doctorate in philosophy from the University of Heidelberg. He is a lecturer at the Philosophy Seminar as well as the College of Education and is currently a lecturer in ethics at the SRH. His scholarly specialty is in contemporary philosophy of mind.
Carsten Dolbert has a degree in geosciences. In addition to his work as a project coordinator, he trained as a systemic consultant and therapist. He has been volunteering in international disaster relief for many years. Initially a skeptic, over time he discovered mindfulness for himself as a resource and horizon-expanding philosophy of life.

The event kicks off the Philosophy in the Community series. More events will follow. All information can be found on our website: dai-heidelberg.de.
