Europeans in conversation

  • The new clothes of the racism debate
  • In dialogue

The Europeans in conversation take up the great salon tradition in Germany to discuss what can be described as European identity. Europe’s diversity yesterday and today. Joys and sorrows that bring us together. And the centuries-old concern about the search for peace and its maintenance.

Wolfgang Reinhard, Professor Emeritus of Modern and Non-European History from Freiburg, invites us to reflect on colonialism, the slave trade, and the concept of race. Among his works are the Global History of European Expansion 1415-2015 (2018) and Of Men and Powers (2019).

We talk openly in a protected space and look forward to new perspectives and your opinion!
