Classics Book Club
- The prime of Miss Jane Brodie by Muriel Sparks
- Social Activity
We all have that growing stack of books we mean to read – now’s your chance to finally dive in. The Classics Book Club offers the perfect opportunity to revisit timeless works (or discover them for the first time) in a friendly and intellectually curious atmosphere.
The club is led by Dharanija Madhavan, a passionate reader originally from Chennai, India, who has called Heidelberg home since 2010. With a wide-ranging taste that spans fiction and non-fiction, romance and political theory – and, of course, the classics – Dharanija brings energy, insight, and a love of discussion to every meeting.
When she’s not immersed in literature, Dharanija works as a scientific coordinator at a graduate school, drawing on her background as a molecular and cancer biologist – partly to fund her ever-growing personal library!
