Classics Book Club
DAI - Bibliothek
- Literatur, Social Activity
You know the big pile of books you’ve „always wanted to read”, waiting for you on the bedside table? Now there is an opportunity to tackle that pile – in the DAI Classics Book Club!
A buoyant group of literature lovers will indulge into works of the literary canon, accompanied by drinks and some snacks. The Classics Book Club started with modern Classics reflecting issues which are being discussed tempestuously currently, like racism and identity. It’s a different book at every meeting. If you don’t have the time to read the book entirely before the meeting – don’t worry. The book club members will always read one or two passages together.
Facilitator is Pia Fichtner-Siegel who was an English teacher at the IGH Heidelberg and responsible for the English department for many years.
