His very first collection of poetry, <em>*Herz ist eine Sprache, die wir verstehen*<\/em> (*The Heart <em>Is<\/em> a Language We <em>Understand*<\/em> ), garnered attention throughout Germany and was featured, among other places, on the ARD magazine program <em>*titel thesen temperamente<\/em> *. At the 12th Literaturherbst, Henri Hirt will now celebrate the book launch of his second collection. The young writer will read from his poems, reflections, and stories, which, with heart and often with humor, explore all facets of life and what it means to be truly human. \u201cWriting,\u201d says Henri Hirt, \u201cfeels good,\u201d and that becomes tangible for everyone during the reading and discussion.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Henri Hirt<\/strong> was born in Cologne in 2003 with Down syndrome. He has lived in Walldorf near Heidelberg since 2005.
