In view of the unimaginable age of our universe, a single human life seems insignificant. The realization of how insignificant we are in the cosmos concerns us: where is the meaning of life? “We are not just inhabitants of this universe. We are a part of it,” says Tim Vollert. Atom by atom, we are made up of exactly the same matter that was released in the Big Bang. He explains how gravitational forces led to the formation of the Earth 4.5 billion years ago and how Homo sapiens evolved.
