Domenick DeGeorge From Morgantown / WV, USA I was born in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania and raised in Morgantown, West Virginia. Before coming to Germany in 2009, I worked as a church musician. It was a joy for me to direct children’s and youth choirs for almost ten years. Since moving to Heidelberg, I have given private piano and guitar lessons to children and adults. More recently, I had the privilege of delivering lunch to kindergartens and schools, including the DAI Kindergartens! As of the Fall of 2019, I will be completing the practice portion of the Kindergarten Teacher Certification Program with the DAI. Music is still central in my life. Among other projects, I am the director of the Klangfarben Gospel Choir, an offering of the Catholic University Center here in Heidelberg. Informed by my experience with my extended family – we are 16 cousins between the ages of 3 and 35 – and my own kids (now 6 and 9), I have come to appreciate the innate capabilities of children to learn about and influence their surroundings. I believe that children should be encouraged as early as possible to be assertive of their own personhood and believe in their ability to make a difference in their world. I am happy and excited to work with your children and help them grow at this formative stage on their way to the becoming the people they will be when they are big. Back to overview
