Discussion Groups Our English-language Discussion Group as well as the Discussion Group Special “America in the Age of Trump” are recurring events at the DAI library. The regular Discussion Group examines questions related to society, politics and religion, whereas the Discussion Group Special focuses on immigration, international relations, the economy, ethics, equality and other topics relevant to understanding the United States in the Trump era. Our equally informative and entertaining discussions have been lead by Dr. Steven Bloom since the 1980s. He is a well-known author from the US and long-time professor for American Studies at the University of Heidelberg. The Discussion Group is on tuesdays at 6:00 p.m. The Discussion Group Special “America in the Age of Trump” is on Wednesdays at 6:00 p.m. The program is free of charge and doesn’t require prior registration. However, we encourage regular participants to join the DAI Circle of Friends. More information on dates and topics can be found here.
